Fees for MC Club Members

Melbourne Collegians fees are broken into two components:

  1. Water Polo Victoria (WPV) and Water Polo Australia (WPV) capitation fees (applicable to members playing in WPV and WPA competitions and tournaments, and cover insurance among other things)

  2. Match Fees and/or Training Fees (charged per season of competition)

The total annual fee is determined by adding the two components above. The combined capitation fees payable for the 2024/25 season are expected to be approximately $250 for senior players (born in 2006 or earlier) and $180 (born in 2007, 2008 or 2009) for junior players and $110 for younger members. These fees must be paid by any members who will be playing in formal WPV/ WPA competitions and tournaments during the registration season by the end of September 2024.

Games fees and training fees (for Juniors and State League 1 and State League 2 players) for the Summer 2024 season are set out below:

SL1 and SL2 (Men and Women) 17 Games + finals + weekly training opportunities $650

SL 3 - 6 (Men)  17 Games + finals $350

Junior and Youth - 6 Games (Term 3) + weekly training opportunities $225

Training only fee Term 3 $150

These costs reflect the charges levied by Water Polo Victoria for games ($100/team for Juniors and Sub-Juniors, and $165 - $180 /team for Seniors), as well as team registration fees, pool hire, coaching costs (for Juniors and Sub-Juniors) and administration costs. We acknowledge that water polo is a relatively expensive sport and we are exploring opportunities for fundraising activities to reduce the cost to individuals. If anyone has any ideas in this respect, please contact kate@mcwaterpolo.com

Please note - A club wide email was sent on June 18th to upgrade membership to reflect the Autumn season and Term 2 training fees. Many people were able to upgrade their membership themselves whilst others are yet to do so. A reminder email was sent out July 15th to pay those fees before getting into the pool for Term 3. Invoices will come to those who havent paid their fees.
