First report in from Montenegro

The following report has been provided by Lisa Tadgell who is travelling (and assisting) with the team:

It is already a week since leaving cold Melbourne and it sure is a contrast in weather here. I don’t think it has dropped below 20 degrees overnight and is over 30 by mid-morning with high humidity.

Our first full day was a Sunday and we spent the day being tourists around the town of Kotor. The highlight was a strenuous walk to the top of the fortress of the old town which had an incredible view over Kotor, the bay and surrounding mountains. Montenegro means “black mountains” and you can certainly see why in this part of the country. That afternoon was spent at a local beach where the boys had a great time in the water.

Melbourne Collegians visits Montenegro

The Club's first visit to Montenegro is currently underway.

This trip involves the Under 16 Boys (born 2000 and born 2001) who have embarked on a 3 week training camp, based around the picturesque city of Kotor.

After months of planning and with the help of the Club's Montenegrin coach, Slobo Macic, a group of 20 members are enjoying the hard work and the scenery that comes with a trip of this kind.

Early reports and pictures show the boys have been hard at work and enjoying the scenery.

A full report will be posted upon their return but in the meantime, check out the Club's Facebook page for more pictures.
